Attorney Thomas A. Shook

Thomas Shook is a South Carolina native and member attorney of the Finkel Law Firm LLC in the Charleston office. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Shook served in the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Shook graduated from Spartanburg Technical College, The University of South Carolina, and The University of South Carolina School of Law.

During law school, Mr. Shook earned the CALI award (formerly known as the American Jurisprudence Award) in Corporate Tax. He was also the Editor in Chief of the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal and was a student member of the John Belton O'Neill Inn of Court and Phi Delta Phi.

Mr. Shook is the author of Ninth Circuit Rejects Narrow Interpretation of "Responsible Corporate Officer," published in the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal (Spring 1999). He also wrote The Submarine War in the Pacific which was featured in the Spring 1996 edition of the War Studies Journal.

He is a member of the South Carolina Bar and the Charleston County Bar, and a member of the Real Estate Practices Section. As a prominent legal figure, he has appeared on numerous panels and has participated on the faculty of the South Carolina Master in Equity's Bench/Bar and the South Carolina Bar's "Law School of Non-Lawyers."

Mr. Shook primarily handles cases in commercial and residential foreclosure and real estate.
